Hickory Valley Golf Club (Presidential)

The Presidential Course is our Flagship Course that was opened in 1996. Since then it has been received by golfers of all levels. Golf Digest gave the Presidential a 4 star rating in 1996, it's first year open. In 1999 Philadelphia Magazine voted the Presidential the best budget golf course in Philadelphia. On the Presidential you'll find a mixture of old and new.

The 18 holes incorporates nine of the original 27 holes and then has a brand new nine holes. You'll be greeted with large undulating fairways and greens on the front nine. On the back nine things tighten up a bit and the greens don't appear as large. You'll finish your round on three of the best finishing holes you'll find anywhere.

The Presidential Course at Hickory Valley combines something old with something new. You'll start off with the new as you wind your way through an old nursery that was used as the template for the newest holes. You'll be escorted into wide fairways of 35 to 40 yards, large slightly undulating greens, and a vast array of bunkers, lakes and environmental areas to meander around.

As you make the turn to the back nine, the Presidential tightens the race just a bit. Fairways tighten to 20 to 25 yards wide and the trees that seemed so small on the front nine suddenly become 25 to 30 feet tall. The wide greens that accpeted errant shots on the front nine are replaced by postage stamps that require accurate shots and clean living.

The back nine is relentless, with a stretch of holes that requires your undivided attention.
